This is one of the bracelets that I designed for my class Chantilly Lady’s Lace Cuff. The lace, ribbons, and threads are dyed with ColorHue dyes. The techniques included are ribbonwork, tatting, crochet, and embroidery. This piece can be found in the gallery section of my book Ribbonwork Flowers by C&T Publishing.

Here is my new book, Beaded Embroidery Stitching, which includes 125 bead embroidery and bead woven stitches, using beads, buttons, charms and more. Once you practice the basic stitches, there are 8+projects for you to work your magic on!
I have included a section on the types of beads and embellishments that you will be using for the stitches, and the other items that can be included in your creations.
Many of the stitches included in the book are interpreted from traditional thread embroidery stitches.
I have included a look into my Design Process, and how a project will start.
I have included several versions of a design in different color ways so that the reader could see the possibilities.
There are loads of inspiration for you to look at, with examples ranging from wall hangings, sewing caddies, pillows, bracelets, brooches and more.

Many of you know that I love hearts! I love the shapes and all of the possibilities. You may also know that I love buttons, all buttons, I can’t get enough of buttons. The first three pictures are of the brooches from my Vintage at Heart class. The last picture is a wreath that I made using a vintage embroidered lace collar, vintage velvet leaves, and yes heart shapes covered in mother of pearl buttons. So grand to be able to use these treasures and enjoy them.

Many of you know that I love hearts! I love the shapes and all of the possibilities. This little brooch is chalk full of needle lace and textured embroidery stitches. The stitches are worked in size 8, 10 and 12 perle cotton. Many of the textured stitches can be found in my book The Embroidery Book.

Many of you know that I love hearts! I love the shapes and all of the possibilities. This is an example from my Magic Web on-line class. The base is made from scraps of this and that, sandwiched between two layers of Solvy and stitched with metallic threads. Adornments include shisha mirrors, buttons, charms, and beads.

Many of you know that I love hearts! I love the shapes and all of the possibilities. These heart shaped brooches are from my class Scrumptious Hearts! Bits and pieces of cherished lace is collaged with silk fabric to form a beautiful heart shaped base for your floral design of ribbonwork flowers and silk ribbon embroidery. This is an excellent way to use up small amounts of this and that to form an heirloom brooch to be treasured.

The heart shape is adorned with vintage lace, silk ribbon embroidery and ribbonwork flowers, many of which were hand-dyed in my class Dyeing to Be Beautiful.
