Here are a few images of more buttons!
These projects can be found in my book
Beaded Embroidery Stitching.
These are samples of two classes that I have taught. These both use felt as a base, with lace as embellishments, and buttons, glorious buttons!
This is a PDF class called
Phat Matt and Friends. Felt is used for the base of the project, embroidery threads and buttons for character.
Hope that you enjoyed looking! Happy stitching! ~Christen

Day 22 of HEARTS!
Many of you know that I love hearts! I love the shapes and all of the possibilities. This heart-shaped etui is another example of my class
Log Cabin Heart Etui and Pincushion. It was featured as a gallery example in The Embroidery Book.
Happy February to you!

I teach a class called the Embroidery Corner, at a local shop. In the process of developing and writing the handouts I stitched quite a few samples to use for the photographs.
Several years ago I taught an on-line class called Beginning Embroidery with Bead Embellishment. I have also created a few stitched bits from this class. And yes I used the same colors of fabric and threads in this sample as the above sample!
Just recently I had time to combine those bits of stitching from both classes. I had a lot of fun saving all of those 1″ bits and putting them to good use.
Happy Stitching! ~Christen

I Love, love, LOVE hearts and I have developed few classes with several different heart shapes
The first is
Embroidered With Love which is an in-person class that I teach in stores or at conferences; and the second is Embroidered From The Heart which I teach on-line.
Happy Stitching to all! ~Enjoy, Christen
Last Wednesday Barbara from Joggles.com put together a
video on things that you can do with DMC floss. She asked me to design a simple sampler, for the project.
I used six strands of a variegated floss, to stitch the pattern. She used fewer strands on her sample to create a more delicate look.
She has some great ideas, and a great give-away going on. You should check it out if you get a chance!
Happy Stitching ~Christen
