If you are like me, you have more than one idea going on in your creative mind, and more than one project waiting to be made. Here are a few things that I do to keep myself organized, and on track.
- I keep each project in a bag or small box while I am gathering the components that I feel I will need for that project.
- As I am gathering, I draw out my ideas for the design and keep these with any written notes that I want to include in the creation in the project bag or box.
- I keep a swatch card for each project, which includes a swatch of the fabrics, a small section of each thread with the name and color number of the thread listed. This way if I need to buy more, I can easily do this.
- I also find it important to document the stitches that I am using on a project. This way if I must leave a project to work on another, I can refer to my notes for the number of wraps for a French knot or keep a record of how many strands of floss that I used.
