Big Leaves by Christen Brown

This piece started with the large linen leaf print. I chose Valdani perle cotton for the embroidery stitches because of the ombre and variegated colors. The printed fabric gave me so many opportunities to use a variety of embroidery stitches.

  1. Your new book is on its way to me ,I cannot wait to get it. I love your leaf piece, I am an art quilter and use leaves in much of my work. I am looking forward to enhancing leaves in my new pieces with embroidery in the future. Thanks for sharing your great work.
