This mask is an accessory to the garment "Summer's by the Sea ". This piecing technique is a good use of the leftover fabrics, ribbons, threads and beads.
Vintage shisha mirrors in blue and green are embroidered with metallic threads. Muscle shell buttons, earring pieces, ceramic charms, abalone chips, and glass beads adorn the mask. Also used were vintage celluloid sequins and glass nail heads. Beaded "feather fringe" tassels dangle from here and there.
The mask aslo has a cool ceramic bead at the base of the handle. A tassel of various novelty fibers, from my "Tassels Magnifique" class also adorns the mask. |
