bead and button jewelry

I am very attracted to the shape of grape clusters, the leaves and the vines, and have used these for inspiration in other pieces, like the "Grapevine" ensemble. Of course the wonderful wines, dolmades and dried "yummies" that can come from this marvel of nature are certainly benefits one cannot ignore!

The necklace is an original pattern where I used large beads for the base. I incorporated a vintage metal button for the center, with glass beads and dangles of grape clusters and leaves dripping from this base.

The first bracelet "Charm Bracelet" is from the "New Fangled Dangle" pattern. I incorporated many of the same glass charms that I used in the necklace. For the closure, I used a vintage button with the same motif as the one that I used in the center of the necklace.

The "Ribbon Bracelet" base is a vintage jacquard ribbon from the '40's. I adorned the base with metal buttons and charms that also have a grape motif. I added glass seed beads to the edges of the ribbon.

I added color to the silver toned vintage buttons, earrings and pin with Pinata Paints. These paints are formulated to paint metal objects. Pretty cool stuff!
